Meet me at the Regal Beagle
This is weird. Usually we begin the tour in the midst of deepest, coldest Winter, and move slowly into Spring. Three years ago, I kept a shovel in the van because we kept getting stuck in drifts. That was a crazy year. Now we are all in shirtsleeves, unloading and loading in the kind of breezy temps I expect as we are performing our final stops.
I am not complaining. Not at all.
Two days, two more venues! We had what felt like a rather large turnout at Lorain County Community College, and a very warm reception. At least one entire family was there — Mom and Dad and three kids. Little kids. No one was offended by The Sexy. Controversial issues, they can get people all riled up. But some harmless bed-swapping? Bring it. It’s like an episode of Three’s Company.
The talkback on Wednesday night had people commenting positively on Lisa’s choice of music, especially for all of the pantomime business (again with the bed tricks) and happiness with all the different characters we have to play in a sixty-minute period.
These pictures were taken yesterday afternoon at Quirk Cultural Center in Cuyahoga Falls . We had a very nice attendance for a first-time at a new venue. It’s a former elementary school that has been turned into a public arts facility, with a charming little stage.
Props to Eric for sneaking in the “bar dance.” Let’s all meet at the Regal Beagle!
